For bringing us greetings and letters filled with news,
for delivering good tidings from friends and family, too,
for bearing any weather and for the heavy load
of letters, cards, and other mail that you deliver to this road,
and even for the bills you bring that should remind us all
of everything we have and how fortunate we are,
we thank you for helping make our Christmas bright and for everything you do
and hope that you and yours shall have a Merry Christmas, too.
