Friday the 13th…

It’s coming, it’s coming,
that day once again,
when bad luck is predicted
like the rain or the wind,
but pay you no mind
to superstitions you’re told,
it’s simply a day
with life to behold.
Good luck you shall have,
good fortune and dreams,
if you avoid all the wise tales
and avoid all the themes
of bad luck and cursed days
and accident-prone hours
but be careful, you should,
if you find your milk soured
or your dog out of pen
or your alarm will not chime
or you miss an appointment
because you lose track of time
for these things are bad luck,
no, but oh wait
those things can happen (and do)
on almost any day.
So, worry do not
of the rep of the day
and pay no attention
to what people say
just live and let live
and appear to be bold
as you step out and enjoy
this wonderful life to behold.
