My prayer for you, my daughter…

I pray that you will grow to feel
a sense of worth
and a sense of responsibility in the world,
I pray that you will know
the blessings of love and family
and grow to learn the value of each,
I pray that God shall watch over you,
keeping you safe
and that you’ll recognize the safety of his lighthouse
in the center of your soul,
I hope that you shall live life with courage,
unafraid to take a risk from time to time
in the search for love or dreams,
And, I pray that you will greet life each day
with peacefulness and joy
and that both shall return to you three-fold.
